Q:  Where can I use InterDirect Connect and international Web and Messaging services?
A:  You can use your international Web and Messaging services and make InterDirect Connect calls anywhere on the Nextel National Network, and coverage areas in Canada, Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Mexico.

Q:  What types of Direct Connect calls can I make with InterDirect Connect service?
A:  You can make a Direct Connect call from the U.S. to other iDEN subscribers from Canada, Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Mexico. You can also travel to any of those and make Nextel® Local Direct Connect calls within the country, Direct Connect calls back to the U.S., or Direct Connect calls between any of the Latin American countries. All of these Direct Connect calls will be charged the InterDirect Connect rate and minutes will also deduct from the Nexetel Direct Connect minutes included in your plan.

Q:  What do I need to use InterDirect Connect service?
A:  If you currently have the ability to use Nextel Nationwide Direct Connect, you automatically have the ability to make InterDirect Connect calls.

Q:  What phones support InterDirect Connect service?
A:  All phones that are Nextel® Nationwide Direct Connect-capable support Nextel® InterDirect Connect. There are a few Nextel phones that do not support either service, including: b370, b470, c280, c370, i1000, i2000, i370, i390, i600, Lingo (L3000), m100, m370, m470, r370 and r470. If you have one of these models, you will need to upgrade to a new phone to use InterDirect Connect service. Q:  What Web and Messaging services can I use in Canada, Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Mexico?
A:  You will be able to use Text Messaging, AOL Instant Messenger, Web Services, Basic Data Service Plan, Standard Data Service Plan, Mobile Admin Package, Unlimited Web Access, MyNextel Address Book (including MyNextel Address Book Admin), Mobile Email, and BlackBerry services including email and the Wireless Data Service browser.

Q:  Do I need a special phone to use Web and Messaging services in these countries?
A:  You do not need a special phone to use your Web and Messaging services internationally. If you subscribe to the service in the U.S., you will automatically be able to use it when you travel.

Q:  Do I need to use any special dialing patterns to make a Nextel® InterDirect Connect call?
A:  No, your Nextel® Nationwide Direct Connect number is your Nextel® InterDirect Connect number. You can reach subscribers in other countries simply by dialing their complete Nextel® Nationwide Direct Connect number. No special dialing is required.

Q:  How am I charged for InterDirect Connect calls?
A:  You are only charged for the InterDirect Connect calls that you initiate. For those calls:
Calls round to the second.
Minutes deduct from your rate plan's monthly allotment of Nextel® Local Direct Connect minutes.
The first person to press the Nexetel Direct Connect button after 6 seconds of silence is considered the call initiator and assumes charges for the call going forward.
You can pay as you go or choose a discount or unlimited access option.

Q:  How am I charged for international Web and Messaging services?
A:  During the promotional period, charges for international use is waived. The use of Web and Messaging services internationally (where available) will be charged at a rate of $.03/kilobyte, in addition to the monthly usage fees you pay in the U.S. Text Messaging users will pay the standard per message charge for any messages sent from these countries, plus the international usage fee.

Q:  Do the Nextel® InterDirect Connect calls I make count toward my Nextel® Nationwide Direct Connect minutes?
A:  Yes. Any time you initiate an Nextel® InterDirect Connect call, the minutes are deducted from your rate plan's monthly allotment of Nextel® Nationwide Direct Connect minutes.

Q:  If others contact me using Nextel® InterDirect Connect® service, will the call count toward my Nextel® Nationwide Direct Connect minutes?
A:  No. Calls only count toward your Nextel® Nationwide Direct Connect minutes when you initiate the call. However, if you press the Nexetel Direct Connect button after 6 seconds of silence, then you are considered the call initiator and will be billed for the call going forward. Also, if you respond to a Call Alert, you are considered the call initiator and are billed as such.

Q:  Am I charged for Call Alerts?
A:  No, you are not charged for sending a call alert. However, the first person to respond to the call alert will be considered the call initiator and will be billed for the call.
